As below questions were asked by our client.

We need your help.

We bought some grease nipples from our Chinese supplier.

When we received them the threads were too small for our manifolds. It never happened in the past.

We visited him last week and with a ring gauge he proved us that the threads were perfect.

We are thinking to buy many ring gauges to test them ourselves but before doing it I need to know from you what standards your gauges comply with.

For example here in Australia BSPT threads comply with standard BS 21:1973. What standard do yours comply with?

I need to know standards for:

–       BSPT

–       NPT

–       UNF

–       METRIC

I really hope I made myself clear and hope you can help us

Our answer:

Our BSPT thread comply with standard BS 21:1985, we think is near to be same with BS 21:1973

BSPT   BS 21:1985

–       NPT  ANSI/ASME B1.20.1

–       UNF  ASME B1.2-1983

–       METRIC   ISO1502
