BA threads, full name is British Association with 47.5 degree thread angle they are used in clocks and some precision instruments , for example, optics, relays and moving-coil meters etc. They should be used in new design, they are used to replace screws smaller than 1/4 in instead of BSW and BSF threads. BA threads are simiar to Whitworth threads with rounded crests and roots.
